Our Story
Why I built Paraserve
I'm Darren Thomas, founder of Paraserve. When my brother was sentenced to 38 years in prison, I watched firsthand how hard it is to navigate the legal system when nobody explains it to you. That's why I went to college, earned my paralegal certificate, and built Paraserve — professional, paralegal-led support for the people and firms who need it most.
It started with family
My brother was handed a 38-year sentence. Watching someone I love try to understand the paperwork, the deadlines, and the process — with no one to explain any of it — changed my life.
So I went to college
I earned my paralegal certificate because I wanted to be the person who could actually help: preparing documents, tracking deadlines, and making a confusing system navigable.
Then I built Paraserve
Paraserve exists so nobody has to face it alone — families, small businesses, and law firms get professional paralegal-led support nationwide.
